The first issue of the series "Der Mensch als Entdecker” leads us into the depths of the Marianengraben.
The Marianengraben, with a depth of around 11,000 meters, is a realm of over 1,000 bar of pressure, icy temperatures just above freezing, and absolute darkness. Due to these extreme conditions, only a few individuals—after the pioneering descent of Jacques Piccard and Don Walsh in 1960—managed to reach the “Challenger Deep” in the early 2000s. Among them were well‑known figures such as James Cameron (2012). In these uncharted depths live astonishing, partly unknown deep‑sea creatures that demonstrate how adaptable life can be. All of this makes the Mariana Trench a symbol of humanity’s desire to explore even the most inaccessible places on our planet.
The crypto stamp once again combines in an innovative way the ever-motivating physical stamp with its digital twin (NFT). The NFT is available in four colors and different rarity levels: Pink 5%, Blue 10%, Green 35%, and Orange 50%. As with all stamps in this series, an artificial intelligence (AI) has created the impressive design.
