The second issue of the “Der Mensch als Entdecker” series takes us to the Roof of the World, the Himalayas, and to the highest mountain on Earth, Mount Everest.
The Himalayas, whose name means “Home of Snow,” were formed millions of years ago by the collision of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates and continue to rise to this day. Home to ten of the world’s fourteen peaks exceeding 8,000 meters, the region is among the most impressive mountain landscapes on the planet. Standing at approximately 8,849 meters, Mount Everest rises above all other mountains and symbolizes humanity’s spirit of exploration. Extreme cold, thin air, and the life-threatening “death zone” make every ascent an extraordinary challenge. Since its first successful ascent by Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1953, the world’s highest mountain has fascinated people from across the globe and continues to represent both the limits and possibilities of human achievement.
The crypto stamp once again combines in an innovative way the ever-motivating physical stamp with its digital twin (NFT). The NFT is available in four colors and different rarity levels: Pink 5%, Blue 10%, Green 35%, and Orange 50%. As with all stamps in this series, an artificial intelligence (AI) has created the impressive design.
