Interview with the AI Artist: Kasia Oźmin I had the privilege of creating Ireland’s first AI-generated stamp series, titled “/Imagine Ireland”. Commissioned by An Post, the project sought to recognise the emerging role of AI and crypto technologies. As part of my continued exploration of imaginary habitats, I envisioned a place where the cutting-edge capabilities of artificial intelligence blend seamlessly with the familiar Irish landscape—a unique coexistence where tradition meets the future. This imagined world reflects a lifestyle that honours both heritage and the possibilities of the unimaginable. The concept behind these images was intentionally designed for those who may be unfamiliar with AI-generated imagery. At first glance, the visuals evoke recognizable Irish landscapes, but upon closer inspection, they invite questions: Where exactly are these places? What modes of transport, habitats, or playgrounds exist here? Ultimately, creating Ireland’s first AI-generated stamp images—both traditional and crypto stamps—for An Post is a way to acknowledge the transformative technologies that are rapidly evolving and here to stay.
