Getting Started with Ciphers Easy Wallet

We have made it easier than ever for our users to collect and manage their crypto stamps (NFTs) on the blockchain. This page explains how the Ciphers Easy Wallet works, how to use it, and how to keep your collection safe. Want to know more about why you need a wallet ? In this article we explain in detail why collectors need a wallet.

Your Options

You have two ways to manage your NFTs on Ciphers.me:

Option 1: Use the Ciphers Easy Wallet (default)

  • We mint and send NFTs to your own Ciphers Easy Wallet.
  • You can view your collection on Ciphers.me.

Option 2: Connect Your Own Wallet

  • You can add up to 5 external wallets (e.g. MetaMask) to your account.
  • You can view your collection managed by these external wallets on Ciphers.me.
  • You can choose to mint new NFTs directly to one of these wallets too. The NFT’s are minted to the wallet that has the status connected.

You can manage your account and add wallets when you select “edit profile” in the menu bar. Note that for security reasons and to prevent misuse and fraud, a wallet address can only be linked to one user account.

What is the Ciphers Easy Wallet?

When you create a Ciphers.me account, we automatically generate a Ciphers Easy Wallet for you. Each account gets his own individual Ciphers Easy Wallet. Each wallet includes:

  • A unique public address
  • A corresponding private key, represented by a 12-word secret phrase

Ciphers.me can mint and send NFTs (like crypto stamps) directly to your public address of Ciphers Easy Wallet. You can find the public address and private key of Ciphers Easy Wallet by pressing the 3 vertical dots next to the wallet on your profile page. The public address can be copied and shared freely, but you should keep your private key always confidential and secure.

How to Use Ciphers Easy Wallet outside Ciphers.me

To manage your NFT collection outside Ciphers.me, you must follow the following 2 steps.

Step 1: Reveal Your Private key on Ciphers.me

  • Log in to your Ciphers.me account and select“edit profile” in the menu.
  • Select the 3 vertical dots next to the Ciphers Easy Wallet. Select private key.
  • Enter your password to reveal your 12-word secret phrase that represents your private key. Important: keep this phrase secure.

Step 2: Import into external wallet, e.g. MetaMask.

  • Install e.g. MetaMask on your phone or computer.
  • Choose "Import Wallet" with secret recovery phrase and enter your 12-word phrase.
  • You can now manage your NFTs, approve transactions, and interact with other applications that use the blockchain.

Important Security Tips

  • Never share your 12-word phrase.
  • If your phrase is copied, lost or stolen, others can access and transfer your NFTs.
  • If your phrase is compromised, immediately transfer your NFTs to a new wallet.
  • Ciphers.me is not responsible for any loss or misuse of your secret 12-word phrase.
